About Poolwerx

Poolwerx Franchise Management LLC was formed in January 2015 and began offering franchises in the United States in March 2015. That same month, affiliate Poolwerx Development acquired substantially all of the assets of Cactus Valley. The U.S. franchisor is based in Farmers Branch, Texas, and belongs to a group with affiliates offering Poolwerx franchises in Australia and New Zealand. Its ownership structure changed in June 2022 when Norwest Venture Partners XVI became the majority owner of Poolwerx Holdings.

The May 29, 2026 FDD describes a staged operating model. A franchisee first establishes a mobile pool service business, then must develop a retail location within 36 months of signing unless Poolwerx approves a revised date in writing. The owner adds mobile units as needed to meet demand. A typical retail location is approximately 1,000–2,000 square feet.

The initial franchise fee for the first territory is $49,500. Poolwerx’s approved offering includes maintenance, pool cleaning, installation and remodeling services, and retail pool supplies. Mobile and retail operations have separate setup requirements, equipment, opening inventory and marketing expenditures, with no second initial franchise fee for the required retail location.

Poolwerx Training and Support

The owner or manager completes 21 hours of online modules before initial training, which the FDD describes as approximately eleven days at Poolwerx’s office in Farmers Branch, Texas, or other designated locations. Instruction covers technical pool services, information technology, supply and procurement, marketing, franchise business operations and administration. The $2,000 initial training fee covers two attendees; additional attendees carry a separate fee, and franchisees pay their trainees’ travel, living expenses and wages.

Before opening, Poolwerx defines the territory, provides operations materials, identifies required equipment and inventory and supplies approved and required supplier lists. It gives general site selection and fit-out guidance for the retail location and reviews the proposed site. Launch marketing is developed with Poolwerx, and the franchisor approves the mobile and retail openings after required training, vehicle, inventory and equipment conditions are met.

After launch, Poolwerx reviews proposed marketing materials, manages the brand fund and makes information about new advertising, management, operational and design developments available. Additional consultation is subject to staff availability and can carry fees when delivered on site. It may offer or require refresher and advanced training, delivered in person or remotely, while owners and managers train their own employees to system standards. An advisory council of franchisees and a franchisor representative provides feedback on operations, standards and marketing.

Why Poolwerx

Poolwerx brings together two connected parts of pool care: services delivered at customers’ properties and supplies available through a local retail location. The mobile-first sequence lets the owner begin building service relationships while preparing the required store, and the combined format gives a team several ways to serve pool owners within an approved operating system.

The opportunity fits someone who enjoys coordinating field service, developing employees and managing customer relationships. Whenever the business is open, it must be supervised by the owner or a trained manager, and vehicle operators must meet training requirements. An owner with practical leadership skills can focus on service quality and local execution while using the brand’s technical education, procurement resources and marketing framework.
